2x 60 min - JavaScript Edition (and some Microsoft Edge as well)
Gill Cleeren, Filip Van Hoorelbeke, Jan Wielemans

Back on popular demand: an evening with 2 session, each of 60 minutes. This time, we're going to add some more value for your time: we'll throw in a third block of content, where we will discuss the Edge Compatibility!

This time, we're focusing on 2 JavaScript frameworks: Meteor and D3. Since this is a web-themed evening, we'll also look at the importance of Microsoft Edge for Developers!

Ship your Apps fast and often with MeteorJS, Docker and Azure (Jan Wielemans)

MeteorJS is one of the latest and most talked about dynamic JavaScript Application Frameworks. Is MeteorJS being used for any serious enterprise projects in Belgium at the moment? Not that we know. Nevertheless, the credentials of the team behind MeteorJS are impressive and the VC’s who are financing the project do have a lot of experience. Enough reasons for us to put it on our technology radar at Involved-IT.

In our upcoming session we talk about how you can use MeteorJS, Docker and Azure to build and ship cutting edge web-applications, faster than ever before.

Microsoft Edge for Developers (Gill Cleeren)

Microsoft Edge is the new browser that is coming with Windows 10. In this session, we will look at why Edge is  important for web developers. We'll see that interop is what Microsoft is focusing on right now. You'll walk away wanting to test your site in Edge (and seeing that it just works!).

D3 (Filip Van Hoorelbeke)

Sometimes you just want to have an immediate insight into your data without having to wrestle into tons of information. And you want to have it easily visualized and viewable for everyone to see. That’s were d3.js comes in. D3.js is a data visualization javascript library which easily brings your data to life. It allows you to manipulate your web pages based on data and visualize this information in a modern and efficient way. It can generate all kinds of graphs, charts, maps and other interactive controls which makes your data more fun!
