Modern tools for the front-end developer

Ever wondered how to survive in the ever changing world of web-development tools? Front-end development nowadays has become very complex due to the heterogeneous stack of technologies that seem to change overnight. During this session, Barbara will handle some UX/UI best practices combined with modern front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, Materialize, Foundation, ... She will also unleash the power of tools like Sass, Less, Gulp, Grunt and NodeJS / npm (Node Package Manager) that are commonly used to enhance your development process.

About the speaker

Barbara Tombeur started working at Kenze ( in 2015 and has a focus on UX, design and front-end development. She has a broad experience with wireframing, prototyping and graphical designing on several projects, both web- and mobile applications. But unlike many designers, she not only knows how to work with Photoshop, but she also has the ability to translate these designs into working HTML, CSS and JS. In her spare time, she loves to travel and decorate Christmas trees at the office.
