About us
VISUG is a Belgian developer community focused on .NET, Azure, and the Microsoft ecosystem.
Who we are
We bring developers and partners together to learn, share, and connect. Our sessions cover hard skills and soft skills, always with time to talk to peers (and usually with food and drinks).
Our mission
Create a friendly place to stay up to date, exchange ideas, and meet people who build software across Belgium.
How we do it
We run regular evening sessions and an annual event. Topics lean Microsoft stack, but we love practical, modern engineering conversations.
Speakers & support
We welcome both first-time speakers and seasoned pros. If you want feedback, coaching, or a dry-run, we’ll help you get ready.
Partners
Our community is supported by partners who care about developer life and the future of software.
Code of Conduct
We’re committed to a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Nico Vermeir is a cloud solution architect at Microsoft.
Being a strong believer in the importance of communities he tries to share knowledge wherever he can, be it on Twitter, at a user group or conference. He has spoken on many international conferences such as NDC Sydney, NDC London, Swetugg, Build Stuff, DotNext.
Nico is a Microsoft MVP in Developer Technologies and a crew member of Techorama BE and NL.
In his spare time he enjoys brewing (and tasting) beer, playing the guitar, riding his Harley-Davidson and doing Karate.
Board member since 2022.
Pieter Nijs is an independent AI Integrator & Developer at Agentix and NESTOR.LEGAL. After years in the trenches with .NET, Azure, and .NET MAUI, he now works as a generalist who cares more about solving the problem than showing off the tech. He builds SaaS solutions and AI tools, and helps teams make sensible technical choices without turning every problem into an engineering showcase.
You can find him speaking at conferences, giving trainings, and blogging at blog.pieeatingninjas.be. Since 2017, Pieter has been a Microsoft MVP for sharing his passion and expertise with the community.
Board member since 2022.
Wesley is a Customer Success Engineer at Duende Software, helping Duende’s customers to be successful by assisting developers with issues, documenting common problems and teaching about security / identity.
He’s also a Microsoft Azure MVP and has spoken at both local meetups and usergroups and conferences like BuildStuff, NDC, DotNext, TechDays and DevSum.
