We’ve waited for it for quite some time but now, after numerous beta builds, Windows 10 is now finally here. And we at Visug are celebrating the official launch with a summer BBQ event. Of course, we want you to be there as well! We’ll talk about the most important new features for developers and we’ll see how you can use Windows 10 in the world of IOT. So, join us on August 27th for the Visug Windows 10 launch! And have some BBQ to close the summer!

Windows 10 is finally here. Now is the time to learn about the awesome new features that the platform offers. Do you want to know what Windows 10 enables for developers? Or do you want to see how you can enhance your existing Windows 8.1 app? In this session, we will give you a full overview of the most important new features of Windows 10.

Gill Cleeren is Microsoft Regional Director, Windows Platform MVP, Pluralsight trainer and Telerik MVP. He lives in Belgium where he works as .NET architect at Ordina. Gill has given many sessions, webcasts and trainings on new as well as existing technologies, such as Silverlight, ASP.NET and WPF at conferences including TechEd, TechDays, DevDays, NDC Oslo, SQL Server Saturday Switserland, Silverlight Roadshow in Sweden, Telerik RoadShow UK… Gill has written 2 books: “Silverlight 4 Data and Services Cookbook” and Silverlight 5 Data and Services Cookbook and is author of many articles for magazines and websites. Gill also is the organizer of Techorama.

Nico Vermeir

Nico Vermeir is a Microsoft MVP in the field of Windows Development. He works as a Lead Mobile developer at RealDolmen Belgium since 2010. He spends a lot of time on keeping up with the rapid changing world of technology, loves talking about and using the newest and experimental technologies, especially in the mobile world. He also runs a mobile focussed user group called MADN.

The Internet of Your Things with Windows 10 IoT

The Internet of Things can make a difference to a business right now, but it can also pose challenges since it can seem overwhelming, complicated and expensive. In this session we’ll demystify IoT and go over the building blocks of a typical IoT solution. We’ll quickly go over the work that Microsoft has been doing on the services side with the IoT Suite in Azure; and focus more on the devices side with Windows 10 IoT Core on for example the Raspberry Pi.

Jan Tielens

After several years as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for SharePoint Server, Jan joined Microsoft as a Technology Advisor in the collaboration and social space. Now he’s working at Microsoft as a Technical Evangelist focusing on everything related to apps for Windows 8, Windows Phone and Azure. He loves geeky stuff, IoT, development, photography & design. Jan is located in Belgium.
